Thorben Funke studied from 2011 to 2016 Mathematics with application subject computer science at the Leibniz Universität Hannover. His master thesis deals with a subject of differential geometry and he analyzed the mean curvature flow in the complex projective space. In addition he received 2015 with his bachelor thesis in the area of requirements engineering his B. Sc. in computer science. Since February 2017 he is research associate at the Junior Research Group “Production Systems and Logistic Systems” of the Faculty of Production Engineering and the BIBA Institute at the University of Bremen. His current research focuses on the modeling of logistic and manufacturing system with stochastically complex networks.
